Today is the first day of the rest of your life
My Grandma told me that when I was about four or five
I thought Grandma was crazy because that didn’t make any sense
I didn’t have the capacity to understand what she meant
Now it’s pretty apparent; Grandma was planting a seed
Guess she knew that it would blossom; knew her words would stay with me
Life is a journey filled with happiness, joy, and pain
Life also has its seasons; sometimes it rains on beautiful days
Life is about attitude; we are who we chose to be
When you’re having a hard time or your day just isn’t going right
Look forward to tomorrow
It’s the first day of the rest of your life
